WELCOME

Screen films are a rather new phenomenon in the Pantheon of Fine Arts. They prove to be the youngest art “invention” along with photography andtelevision. Its two other wide-known denominations are “motion pictures” or “cinema”;

In 1895 Auguste and Louis Lumiere invented the Cinematograph that included camera, projector and printer. Within months they became the main European cinema producers, earning millions within the nearest time.

The Future of Screen Films

The future of screen films appears to be bright. The rate of sales rises every year making statisticians provide us with better and better statistics. Still, there are certain problems that arose in the 1980s screen film industry still cannot dispose of.

The most important problem is the violation of copyright laws. It happens all over the world and can hardly be stopped as the technological advances and development allow every computer user to copy and produce thousands and even millions of CDs and DVDs. The greatest question about pirate discs is quality, of course. A lot of middle-class representatives are ready to pay more for quality and company guarantee.

Anyway, the technology doesn't stand on the same place. There has recently appeared High Definition format, such as Blue Ray, for example. The resolution of film and video cameras is getting better and better bringing forwards such newest technologies as UHD and IMAX format, for instance. In other words, screen film business activity is in no stagnation looking the way out of the worst financial crisis even, establishing new cinema festivals, opening new film directors, writers and actors.

To sum it up, screen films would rather survive than disappear in this world.
